The following is a selection of our grasses grown in pot sizes from 2 litre to 20 litre depending on variety.

Acorus gramineus 'Ogon'
This cultivar of "Sweet Flag" is an evergreen grass with bright yellow and green leaves.Useful for wet areas.  Height 30-45 cm.

Carex oshimensis 'Everest'
The distinct white striped foliage and healthy growth make this 'Japanese Sedge' a superb ground-cover plant. It is easy to grow and low maintenance, forming a neat, easily controlled mound.

Cortaderia pumila
This more dwarf "Pampass Grass" forms stately evergreen clumps which produce erect silvery plumes in late summer.

Cortaderia Scarlet Wonder
This new variety forms clumps of rough textured green foliage and its reddish plumes hold their colour all winter. Grows well in all soils and positions. Height to 200cm.

Cortaderia selloana
This is th stately, clump forming evergreen "Pampass Grass" which produces attractive feathery 60cm long flower panicles on tall stems above the foliage in late summer. Thrives in any position and grows to 180cm.

Cortaderia Splendid Star
This dwarf form of the "Pampass Grass" has very narrow leaves which are yellow and green with golden streaks. In late summer, erect plume like white panicles appear above the foliage.

Cortaderia White Feather
Evergreen sharp edged foliage forms clumps which produce tall long lasting panicles of creamy white in late summer up to 210cm tall.

Deschampsia caespitosa 'Golden Dew'
Evergreen tuft-forming perennial grass with dense, narrow, rough edged, dark green leaves. In summer it producesdainty, open panicles of minute, pale golden-brown spikelets that last well into winter. Fully hardy.

Festuca glauca
Evergreen, tuft forming perennial grass with very narrow leaves of blue/green to silvery/white. bears almost insignificant panicles of flower spikelets in summer. Fully hardy and grows to about 15cm.

Juncus effusus 'Spiralis'
The "Corkscrew Rush" is an evergreen perennial forming a clump of corkscrew-like, spirally curled, leafless stems, occasionally with small clusters of brown flowers in summer.

Hackenochloa macra 'Allgold'
This semi-evergreen grass forms a mound of arching, bright yellow foliage. Reddish-brown flower spikes are produced in early autumn. Height 50cm, Spread 50cm

Hackenochloa macra 'Aureola'
A  gorgeous ornamental grass and one of the few that prefers shady sites. Forms a low mound of arching stems, with cascading layers of narrow leaves striped with bright yellow and green. The graceful effect is similar to a dwarf bamboo. Clumps are slow to grow, but eventually makes a spectacular border edging. Requires a moist soil.

Helictotrichon sempervirens
syn. Avena candida

The "Blue Oat Grass" grows graceful fountains of silver-blue blades which form neat ornamental clumps that combine well with other grasses. Beige to light brown terminal panicles appear June through to August. Reliable and attractive accent or specimen, perfect for rock gardens. Evergreen perennial.

Imperata cylindrica 'Red Baron'
The "Japanese Blood Grass" has leaves which are green at the base, flushed bright ruby-red and burgundy towards the tips. Grows to 45 cm and dies down during the winter.

Liriope muscari
This grass-like herbaceous perennial , commonly called "Lily Turf", has evergreen foliage and lilac-purple flowers which produce single seeded berries on a spike in the autumn.

Miscanthus  Cabaret
Rich green broad blades have conspicuous milky-white stripes, quite showy. Copper-colored plumes appear above the foliage in early autumn, age to a cream color on stems that blush pink as they mature. A bold accent or focal point for the garden. Herbaceous perennial.

Miscanthus  Cosmopolitan
Herbaceous, clump forming, perennial grass with narrow green, white margined leaves. Coppery red flower plumes appear in early autumn which gradually turn to white. Grows to 150cm tall.

Miscanthus  Morning Light
Herbaceous, clump forming perennial grass with narrow green leaves which are edged with white, giving an overall grey look. Fan shaped panicles of white flowe spikelets are produced in early autumn. Height 1.2m.

Miscanthus  Silberfeder
This variety of the "Japanese Silver Grass" provides a wonderful autumn display of showy plumes, and remaining attractive all winter. This variety has large silvery-white flowers over an arching mound of dark green leaves. The foliage dries and turns a light tan shade for the winter

Miscanthus  sinensis Strictus
This variety of the "Japanese Silver Grass" providing a wonderful display of showy plumes in Autumn which remaining attractive all winter. Large soft-pink flowers over an upright clump of green leaves, uniquely banded with yellow. The foliage dries and turns a light tan shade for the winter.

Ophiopogon  planiscapus 'Nigrescens'
The "Black Mondo Grass" is an evergreen perennial that makes a great groundcover or edge plant for the border of a garden. Its strap-like, 6mm wide, leaves will reach 30cm tall and start out green and then quickly turns dark black. Racemes of lilac flowers in summer are followed by black fruits. Plants spread by underground stolons with thick fleshy roots.

Panicum virgatum 'Heavy Metal'
This "Switch Grass" is a compact upright  grass with blue foliage and a tidy habit. In late summer airy silvery flowers appear and remain attractive well into the autumn. It is an undemanding plant suitable for any soil type and is easy to grow.

Penisetum alopecuroides 'Hamelin'
Herbaceous, tuft-forming, perennial grass with long haired stems. In autumn has panicles of creamy-pink spikelets, fading to pale brown, with very long bearded bristles. Grows to 100cm tall.

Phalaris arundinacea 'Arctic Sun'
An erect, semi-evergreen perennial grass with flat, linear, upright to arching, yellow and green striped leaves. Narrow panicles of golden-yellow spikelets bloom in early and mid-summer.

Phalaris arundinacea 'Feesey'
Sometimes called 'Strawberries and Cream', this selection of Ribbon Grass has an especially bright appearance. This is a spreading grass, forming a wide patch of medium height. Leaves are striped lengthwise with dark green and white, blushed with pink in spring and autumn. Tan spikes appear in summer. Choose a site where this grass can wander freely, or plant in tubs and containers. Often this will benefit from a hard clip back in midsummer, just as the flower spikes appear, in order to rejuvenate the foliage. Loves moisture.
